Gary Mureta opens Mureta's Antiques at 2418 Fillmore Street in 1983. The store becomes known as a piece of old European charm in the heart of San Francisco specializing in estate jewelry and antiques.
Gary meets 15-year-old John Quillinan at a local flea market where he buys and sells antique jewelry. Over the next few years, John becomes well known in the community for his sharp eye and begins selling his jewelry to local stores including Mureta's Antiques.

After 37 wonderful years, Gary decides to retire and pass the helm to John and his wife Caroline. Together, they plan to continue Mureta's legacy bringing unique pieces and jewels with history to San Francisco.
